Architectural Desktop 2006 Application Status Bar

We always hear about shortcuts when trying to find a command and for the most part it is right in front of us. At the bottom of your AutoCAD screen below the COMMAND line you will see the Application Status Bar.

The application status bar gives you quick access to these settings: (sorry about the graphic but I had to split it)

  1. Cursor coordinate values: Controls the coordinate format as either relative or absolute.
  2. Snap*
  3. Ortho: On/Off
  4. Polar Tracking*
  5. Object Snap (OSnap)*
  6. Object Track (OTrack)*
  7. Dynamic Input (DYN): Toggles on or off dynamic input.
  8. Lineweight (LWT)*
  9. Model or Paper Space: Toggles between layouts.
  10. Elevation: Select a level for the calculation of the elevation offset.
  11. Elevation relative to construct’s level: Opens Elevation Offset worksheet to enter or pick the Z offset.
  12. Replace Z value with current elevation: Toggles on or off, replacing the existing Z value with the current elevation.
  13. Communication Center*
  14. Drawing Status Bar Toggle: On/Off
  15. Clean Screen Mode: Toggles the display of the application window from a standard screen to a full screen. In full-screen mode, all toolbars and palettes (except the Tool Palette) are hidden. Palettes retain their current state when hidden.
  16. Toolbar/Window Positions: Locks or unlocks floating and docked toolbars and palettes in place.
  17. Application status bar drop-down list: You can select tray settings to display commands frequently used in the application status bar. Use them or lose them, the choice is yours!!
